Successful Innovate UK Analysis for Innovators (A4i) grant enables collaborative project with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL)

After a highly competitive process, we are delighted to announce that Verinnogen has been successful in securing an Innovate UK A4i grant. Leveraging the deep expertise of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), we will optimise our optical architecture of our highly anticipated tumour measuring device which will be vital as we prepare for a commercial launch.

TECHNICIANS CONFERENCE - BABRAHAM INSTITUTE

November, 2023

Hosted by the Babraham Institute, Cambridge UK, this conference celebrated everything about technicians and their vital role in academic and commercial biomedical research. The event welcomed over 110 technicians, researchers or Facility managers on the day who had travelled from across the UK from 21 different Universities, academic research Institutes or government departments, in addition to specialists and scientists from 12 pharma and biotechnology companies.

Verinnogen was delighted to sponsor one of the coffee breaks and the team were busy with live demos of our new profiling device.

VERINNOGEN CATALYSES SUPPORT FROM INNOVATE UK

April, 2023

In a highly competitive bid for non-dilutive government funding via Innovate UK, Verinnogen has been successful in its application for the Biomedical Catalyst grant to further develop it's tumour profiling technology.

Verinnogen's CEO and co-founder, Dr Isaac Johnson, said:

"Time and time again variability in tumour measurements during pre-clinical studies impacts development of exciting new cancer treatments.

​

This Innovate UK funded project will help us accelerate development and testing of our novel tumour 3D profiling technology, bringing reliable, quick, and easy to use tools to the cancer research field faster"

Working with key partners and key new hires, Verinnogen expects this funding to unlock new growth and help achieve key milestones.

VERINNOGEN JOINS START CODON ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME

November, 2022

Venture-builder and Cambridge-based accelerator, Start Codon, select the best and brightest UK companies to provide investment and expertise, as well as a huge social network of partners, investors, and providers. Joining Verinnogen's Board of Directors, Start Codon's Investment Director, Dr Michael Salako brings key expertise in the cancer research field to drive the company's innovation and growth.

Verinnogen joins a host of other Start Codon portfolio companies including Enhanced3D Genomics, Semarion, Tagomics, and many more, that are bringing innovative solutions to unmet needs. Backed by venture funds including Cambridge Innovation Capital and Jonathan Milner's Meltwind Advisory, as well as Pharma titans Genentech and Novartis, Start Codon have created an entrepreneurial melting pot through which their portfolio companies can gain momentum and expertise in the fast-paced world of start-ups.

An excellent mixture of mentorship sessions, hands-on workshops, and practice pitches, the Impulse programme at the Maxwell Centre, University of Cambridge, gives new companies in-depth, actionable insights and knowledge. Verinnogen's place on this prestigious programme was kindly sponsored by the world-renowned Henry Royce Institute that culminated in a live pitch in front of representatives from Cancer Research Horizons, Amadeus Capital Partners, and many more! Congratulations to all the amazing founders and companies who participated in this years' programme.

ADVANCED THERAPIES 2022

May, 2022

With all the latest cell and gene therapy researchers bee-lining towards London's ExCeL Arena for Terrapinn's Advanced Therapies Conference 2022, Verinnogen won a spot in the much-coveted "Start-up Zone" giving us an amazing platform to discuss our technology with cancer researchers from all over the world. To demonstrate just how error-prone callipers really are, we conducted a little test of our own! See the video below for how these researchers shaped up when it came to calliper-based tumour volume estimation using a very friendly "volunteer".

Finger on the PULSE - Verinnogen gets expert feedback through the Bioindustry Association

March, 2022

Every year up-and-coming start-ups get the chance to learn key skills and insights through a short series of masterclasses run by the BiA as part of their programme, PULSE. Hosted at the prestigious Francis Crick Institute in London, Verinnogen was selected for this years' all expenses paid for series that culminated in an incredible investor pitch day, with Verinnogen's executive team gaining key feedback on the business.
